Many of you may know Madora Dawkins as Eatonville’s retired 4th grade teacher. She’s had a much more exciting life than that of just of a 4th grade teacher. To read the whole story, click HERE.

Here are a couple shots of Madora (left in both shots) working up at Mount Rainier during the summer of 1940. She says it was a great time. Lots of young people working away from home for the first time.
