
It wasn’t just average 4th of July parade. This one was different — it commemorated the laying of the cornerstone of new school. This school would turn out to be something special and make the headlines in papers around the country.
Looking down Mashell Ave. you can see the top of the Methodist Church and people lining the streets to help celebrate the 4th and the cornerstone.
