Peter Peterson & Little Linda (ca. 1948)

Great shot of Torger Peterson’s son, Pete, and his granddaughter Linda Lewis.

Pete was the son of Torger Peterson, a pioneer of Ohop Valley. This shot was taken on the family farm. The house and barn are no longer there, and it’s the hub now of the Nisqually Land Trust.

  1. I think what I admire about that generation, is their versatility. Ol’ Pete didn’t need a special trailer for his boat, that home made utility trailer worked just fine., He probably used that trailer to haul Hay, and critters, and hundreds of other things. I think people had to be more ingenious back then, since there wasn’t a Walmart, or Fred Meyer store that carried anything and everything a person might need !!
