You know it as PostNet on Mashell Ave., but that’s only its recent incarnation. In the 1940s it was, Clair Daly’s radio and TV repair shop — the Radio Electric Shop.
The older pictures show owner Clair Daly inside the repair shop. You can see the radio on the shelf behind him looking like it’s ready to be picked up. The other shots show daughter Lois Daly Brown in front of the store and Jenette Hale Mieke and Corky Hale in the upper windows.

What a fantastic piece of local history in those three photos.
What is interesing to me is I have two old refrigerators JUST like the two different ones in these pics. !! The oldest one, like in the pic with Lois, is not in working order, but looks very cool as a decoration piece.
The newer Philco, like the one in the pic with Clair, is in my MoPar Man Cave, and still works and does a great job keeping the beer cold !!
On a seperate note, Corkey doesn’t look one bit happy !!

Yeah, these are great. At first I thought . . . I didn’t realize he fixed old washers. Then remembered, those weren’t considered old back then. 🙂
