The Boettchers were one of the first settlers up in the Alder area (1895) and the family is still there today. Here’s a great shot of them out haying.
Pat Van Eaton says that the man on the tractor is John Van Eaton, helping his brother-in-law Bill Boettcher (who has his back to the camera.)
