
This is a wonderful look at Eatonville’s Japanese community back in the early 1900s before WWII.
It was created by Maryellen Sakura, wife of David Sakura, who once lived in the town as a small child.
If you click on the image to enlarge it, you’ll see that item #2 has been marked. This was the old milk house and is believed to be the only building left standing. Currently the historical society is trying to raise money to move and restore this building, which they call the Tofu House.
