This shot was taken of the old Alder before it was moved when the dam when in. As the caption states: “This is a district meeting of the International Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF) in Alder, on October 26, 1912. The Odd Fellow started in England in 1688. The Odd Fellow’s duty is “to visit the sick, relieve the distressed, bury the dead and educate the orphans.” Both Alder and Elbe had IOOF chapters.
