This week is the first week of classes for Eatonville students. I thought it might be a good time to show some of the cherry students headed back to school 70 years ago.

I guess I am old fashioned, I liked it back in these days when girls wore dresses, and boys wore pants. And the boys pants were worn at the waist, and not half way down to their knees. I know every generation has their own style, I have to admit, I wore hip-hugger bell-bottoms, and paisley shirts, and had hair down to my shoulders back in the day. I guess the 40’s and 5o’s style makes me think that it was a simpler time, but I’m sure they had their troubles also. Great group of school pics, Diane…Thanks

You have obviously never had to wear a dress for an extended amount of time. 🙂

David, If my dad is right, you had a brother, Jim? He (Neal Purdy) and your Dad worked together at Clay City when your family was living there. Apparently you would play with his brothers Don and Billy as his Dad Ivan Purdy also worked there. He was telling me how your lives intertwined over the years and wanted me to tell you hello…..
