
Mary (Burwash) Chalberg was anxious to take her first horse Diablo for a ride. First though, she had to have this picture taken with her great grandmother, Susie LeMaster and Susie’s sons Clarence LeMaster (front) and Ross LeMaster (behind).
Susie was the mother of Velma (LeMaster) Kjelstad, who went on to be a teacher at Eatonville, and lived in Ohop Valley at the Kjelstad farm where this picture was taken.

This says Clarence and Ross were Susie’s brothers, but they are her sons. Clarence is my great-grandfather.
