Firehouse (ca. 1960)

Old Eatonville Firehouse

The old Eatonville Fire house with Morrison home in the back.

There are lots of memories there:

Marlayne Elliff: Remember the black board on the front of the firehall? Kids would ride down when they heard the bell and see where the fire was. Excitement in old Eatonville.

Alice Wingrove: You could hear the bell all over town. I remember in the fall and wintertime when everyone needed a fire, as it was cold, and there would always be a chimney fire somewhere and they would have to go put it out. Great men worked there. [And} Mr. Davis gave private lessions in that school house before the music room was built in the highschool.
